Both the St. Thomas Cathedral and the St. Thomas Mission House are masonry structures constructed over one hundred years ago. This generated a great need to upgrade the facilities for accessibility and life safety. The improvements included a new entry/atrium with an elevator providing access to the Mission House. The interior layout was massaged to increase efficiency and allow for more usable space including a new warming kitchen. The public restrooms were completely redone and enlarged to comply with current code standards. Interior colors, finishes, casework, and lighting were all updated as well.
