Community Hub
A testament to community collaboration and visionary philanthropy, the Kroc Center is a 120,500-square-foot multi-use facility made possible through the generosity of the Kroc family, The Salvation Army, the City of Coeur d’Alene, and overwhelming community support. Designed as a hub for recreation, wellness, and the arts, the center provides a diverse range of activities and services to enrich the lives of residents of all ages.
As part of a collaborative design team—including Architects West, Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, and Miller Stauffer Architects—the project was thoughtfully designed to integrate state-of-the-art amenities with a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. The facility features an aquatic center, including a 10-lane competition pool and an indoor leisure pool for family-friendly water activities. For fitness enthusiasts, the center offers an indoor running track, a fully equipped fitness area, an aerobics studio, and a multi-activity court with three basketball courts. Adventure seekers can enjoy an indoor play structure and climbing wall, while a chapel and performing arts theater serve as gathering spaces for cultural and spiritual events. Additional amenities include community rooms and a full commercial kitchen, making the center a true social and recreational anchor for the region.
More than just a building, the Kroc Center is a place of connection and transformation, fostering a strong sense of community while providing unparalleled recreational, educational, and cultural opportunities for Coeur d’Alene and beyond.
