The transformation of lakeside McEuen Park into a vibrant, year-round community space is a testament to thoughtful design and public engagement. Since its completion, the park has become a beloved destination, bustling with activity in all seasons, rain or shine.
McEuen Park was designed by Team McEuen, a collaboration led by Miller Stauffer Architects, alongside Welch Comer Engineers and landscape architect Dell Hatch. Through extensive stakeholder and community engagement—including multiple design charrettes and public presentations—the team successfully developed a master plan that delivered a park unlike any other in the region.
Key features of McEuen Park include an ADA-accessible playground, splash pad, bike and pedestrian paths, open green space, a grand pavilion, restrooms, a dog park, a subterranean parking structure, hardscape courts, enhanced lighting, and public art. This dynamic public space continues to serve as a model for community-driven urban park design.
